Scoring is dictated by a point system, based on a given fish’s value as a sportfish. Length will be the primary measurement by which points are awarded. Second place fish will be awarded half of the maximum point total. See below tables for first/second place point totals.
Each contender must provide photo id of fish with a tape measure clearly in frame. If a photo cannot be taken, the measurement must be clearly witnessed by another contender.
A contender can hold first and second place, but will only receive points for the first place fish.
All fish that measure 12 inches or greater, and are caught within 3 miles of shore, can be weighed in for a single point, if not already assigned a point total. Zero points will be awarded for a second-place, single point fish.
No charters/commercial fishing are allowed. Rod and reel only. Fly fishing encouraged.
The contenders must obey all local/state/federal Fish and Game regulations.
